Our headshot photoshoots start at $399 (incl GST) for the Startup package. We have a centrally located studio on Swanston St in Melbourne's CBD.

For a team headshot session, about 10 minutes.
For the Headshot Flexi package, 15-20 minutes.
For the Social Hero package, allow 1-1.5 hours.
Please arrive in your first outfit and be ready to go!
Omg, yes! Additional images are available for $40 per image which includes a light Photoshop.
As much space as possible. We're greedy like that.
But seriously, a room at least 4m x 4m is ideal.
A private room is best too. It can take a bit for you to warm up and an audience might make you more self conscious.
Yes! Just let us know before though as there may be additional logistics. Professional business photography isn't the same as whipping out your iPhone. We may need additional lighting, more space or even hiring a studio.
Group photos can be a challenge so we need to prepare. We even wrote a blog post if you'd like to check it out!
Sorry, no. We are crafting and selling a finished product. It would be like buying a dress and just be given a bunch of fabric.
Does that mean our photos are bad without editing? No! Professional photography is done using a RAW image format and they always need slight adjustments to look their best. It's better to have one incredible image anyway, than 20 average ones. Vogue only has one cover.
Of course! Though this is weather dependent (I'm talking to you Melbourne) and may involve additional costs if far from Melbourne CBD.
Yaas Kings and Queens! We can even do some photos with a studio background and some outside on location. Though the number of backgrounds and time on your photoshoot will depend on your package.
Keep it simple. Solid colours and neutrals are always a safe bet. Avoid busy patterns and clothing with fine stripes or checks may cause a optical illusion called moiré.
For makeup, think daytime fresh. Like you're popping out for a coffee with a friend.

We have a number of artists we've worked with and recommend. Myles worked as a fashion photographer so has a good eye for talent. Even if we haven't worked with the artist, we review their folios carefully so you only get the best.
Price varies depending on artist and is between $200 - $400. Hair and makeup for women takes about 1.5 hours. Men about an hour.
It's better if you go the the artist or they go to you. You can do preparation at our office, but it's an additional $100 charge. Why? Because we need to be there for another 1.5 hours when we could be doing other jobs.
Ask us when booking to arrange makeup.
Another option is to book makeup at Mecca. It's $120 for a natural look but you get to redeem that cost towards products.

When possible, we try and guide you on selections on the day of your shoot. Weird science happens when we look at photos of ourselves and we aren't always objective.
If you don't select on the day, within a day or 2 of your photoshoot, you'll receive a link to an online contact sheet.
We cull unusable photos: eyes closed etc.

Your professional headshots are delivered electronically and stored in the cloud for a year. You'll receive 3 versions of each file.
The high res file is not cropped and is used for printing. We put that in a folder called 'For Printing'. We deliver 2 versions of the low res files. One is the original full crop. The second is a square crop ideal for social media avatars. We put the low res files in a folder called 'For Socials and Websites'.
We reduce the size using a technical 3 step file reduction process to make them look super sharp and yummy.
We highly recommend you use the low res files for uploading to LinkedIn etc. They are optimised to look super sharp. If you're uploading to a website they will need to be optimised further using a service like 'Tiny Jpg'. If you would like us to do this for you, we can do it for a small fee.
If you need a different crop please let us know and we can organise for you.

For headshot and Social Hero sessions, a deposit invoice will be sent once your booking is confirmed. The balance will be sent via Xero and due on the day of your booking.
For team sessions, your invoice is sent after delivery of files. Payment terms are 1 week for team sessions.
You can pay by bank transfer or by secure credit card processing within Xero using Stripe. We don't have a preference for payment method but credit cards have a transaction fee.
However you pay, you will receive a tax invoice via Xero.
Real talk? We prefer to keep weekends free so you get us fresh.
But we get sometimes it's unavoidable for you. So we offer weekend bookings at 20% surcharge on top of our usual fees.
30-40 is about right. In an ideal world we like at least 10 minutes per person. We can do 50 and over but it's pushing it and harder to maintain our high standards of quality.
No problem. We can come back and do smaller numbers. Or send them to us at our studio on Swanston in Melbourne CBD. Just note that different pricing applies for smaller numbers.
There's a lot a crazy myths around Photoshop. The number one is that it's some magic button that takes seconds to do.
Photoshop is a highly skilled art that takes years to master. And bad Photoshop is a lot like bad plastic surgery - it looks terrible and everyone will know.
All packages include a 'light Photoshop'. This includes a little teeth whitening, we fix fly away hairs, remove minor skin blemishes and clean up backgrounds. We also do a little skin softening.
It doesn't include extensive body or facial alteration. It doesn't include taking 50 years off your face, though we will knock a few years off. We don't recommend this level of Photoshop for professional headshots anyway. You want your headshots to be a polished representation of who you are. You clients might be shocked if you turn up looking like a completely different person!
We can do an advertising grade retouch but it costs more. It typically takes 1-2 hours per image and for that reason it's $80 per image.
Please let us know if you prefer this option.
No!
Photoshop is really time consuming. And certain fabrics or patterns do not Photoshop well.
Sure a few little creases we can get rid of but nothing beats a freshly pressed shirt. Even the best Photoshop master can't fake that.
So please iron your shirts. Or trousers or whatever.
In some ways AI has made our jobs harder.
Clients now believe we can create anything with the click of a button.
While you can do some amazing things with AI, and it's getting better all the time, the results are highly variable and usually pretty ordinary looking.
Not only that, but it's really time consuming and the results are not really of a commercial quality.
No. This package is priced to reflect the costs of hiring the studio.
