Headshot photography sessions we love: Marie Kitano

As a Melbourne headshot photographer I come across some incredible women. I created this blog category to show them off and the headshots we make together. I sat down with Marie and asked her these 15 questions:

Name and job title?

Marie Kitano. Doctor.

What would your drag queen name be?

Rey Skywalker.

Biggest fashion disaster?

T-shirt saying “BASTARD”. I didn’t know the meaning of the word back then when I got it.

You just won $100 million. What’s the first thing you’re buying?

Life-long ice cream supply. Or a whole ice cream shop with 100+ flavours.

Last time you cried and why?

When I passed my Australian medical qualification exam.

You will never hear me say “that has too much coriander”. What will I never hear you say?

No ice cream for dessert thank you (especially when it’s a choc mint hehe).

What makes you angry?

Can’t remember the last time I got angry.

What gives you joy?

Seeing people’s happy faces is the best!! 🙂

What keeps you up at night?

I can win a world championship for falling asleep fast.

Proudest moment in your career?

Becoming a doctor both in my home country (Japan) and my second home country! It wasn’t easy and it took some time but now I’m here!

Career lesson you wish you had known when you started?

Honesty and trust are the first fundamentals of all things. Skills and knowledge come second. 

Worst career moment?

I wouldn’t say the worst, but I had some tough moments because I deal with human lives sometimes.

Favourite item of clothing and why?

Uniqlo black tee just because they look good on me.

What is the sexiest occupation?

The ramen shop people who swing noodle cookers to drain water from ramen. I’ve got no logical explanation but I’ve been obsessed with them.
