Interesting women doing interesting things: Belinda Harris
I photograph some incredible women as a headshot and personal branding photographer. I created this blog category to show them off and the photos we make together. I sat down with Belle and asked her these 15 questions:
Name and job title?
Belinda (or Belle) Harris. National Partnerships Manager, mental health sector.
What would your drag queen name be?
Bel Licious
Biggest fashion disaster?
Skirt zipper at the back broke half way through a night out and had to be fixed with brown masking tape.
You just won $100 million. What’s the first thing you’re buying?
My friends and family homes and a pilates studio.
Last time you cried and why?
My friend Callum passed away. It was sudden and rocked me to my core.
You will never hear me say “that has too much coriander”. What will I never hear you say?
Let’s go jogging.
What makes you angry?
Fake, unkind and judgmental people. Everyone is trying their best. It’s not hard to be kind.
What gives you joy?
My nieces and nephews. And my bestie’s kids. I love them to the moon and back.
What keeps you up at night?
A great Netflix series when the episodes keep rolling into one another.
Proudest moment in your career?
Performing in Les Miserables to a packed audience when I used to be an actor.
Career lesson you wish you had known when you started?
Be authentic and be honest. Don’t try to impress. Just be you and you will kill it and speak up when you feel you need to. That shows strength and integrity.
Worst career moment?
Being made redundant 3 months into a role.
Favourite item of clothing and why?
Black faux fur coat. So soft and cozy in winter.
I wish I’d stop saying…
I’m sorry!
What is the sexiest occupation?
Firefighter.
